(MONCTON, N.B.) - Second-year goaltender Gabrielle Forget stopped all 22 shots in her direction to lead the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (9-2-1) to a 5-0 shutout of the Mount Allison Mounties (3-7-1) in an AUS women's hockey game played Saturday afternoon at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

Marie-Pier Arsenault led the offense with two goals - one unassisted and the other from Marika Lacroix and Manon Lamarre.

Team captain and Subway player of the game Marika Lacroix contributed a goal (with assists from Natacha Bergeron and Arsenault), two assists and six shots on goal.

Bergeron (from Lacroix and Katryne Villeneuve) and Kaitlyn Gallaway (from Cassandra Labrie) completed the scoring.

Gabirelle Forget made 21 saves in net for the Aigles.

Keri Martin faced 33 shots in a losing cause for the Mounties.

"This win was a nice team effort and I was able to score points," said Lacroix. "We had a very nice weekend and we showed today we could come back in the third and score. Our offense produced while focusing on the defensive play."

Coach Denis Ross was happy with the weekend outcome of two victories. "Our goaltenders had a very good weekend with one goal in two games," he said. "They made the big stops when they needed to."

The Aigles Bleues will complete the first term schedule with two weekend games at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena. They host Saint-Mary's Huskies Friday evening and the StFX X-Women Saturday afternoon.

The Mounties next take to the ice Sunday when they visit the St. Thomas Tommies at 2 p.m.
