In a rare occurrence, the Lancer men's hockey team was kept off the scoreboard and fell 3-0 to the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday night in Waterloo.

The Lancers defeated the Brock Badgers Friday night, and with the weekend split are now 18-4-1 and continue to remain in first place in the OUA heading into the final two weeks of the season. With the victory, the Golden Hawks improve to 8-14-1 and are still battling for the final playoff position.

The game remained scoreless until early in the second when Laurier's Mackenzie Braid snuck one past Lancer goaltender
Parker Van Buskirk to give the home team a one goal lead heading into the third period.

In the third, Golden Hawk captain Tyler Stothers came up big for the hosts scoring two goals to lift his team over the visiting Lancers.

Van Buskirk turned aside 25 saves in the effort for Windsor, while Laurier's Vinnie Merante made 36.

Windsor is on the road to Western on Friday night before returning home for a single game against the York Lions on Saturday January 31st. The game is part of the Department of Athletics' annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and there will be new commemorative t-shirts on sale for only $10 with all proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.Â
