(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - The Dalhousie Tigers opened a weekend series with a straight set victory over the Memorial Sea-Hawks in AUS women's volleyball action at the Field House on Saturday.

Set scores in the win were 25-18, 25-12 and 28-26.

It began to look as if the home team might push the game to four sets, but once Dalhousie tied the game at 26 points, two attack errors by Memorial sealed the deal for the visiting Tigers.

Anna Dunn-Suen (Halifax, N.S.), a second-year left side, led the Tigers with 15 kills in the win. Libero Marisa Mota (Kitchener, Ont.) had a team-high 30 digs on her way to Subway player of the game honours.

Fourth-year left side Krista Hogan (Kippens, N.L.) led the Sea-Hawks with 12 kills and 16 digs. Second-year Jill Snow (Bishop's Falls, N.L.) added eight kills of her own while setter Kirsten Sorensen (Red Deer, Alta.) had 30 assists and 16 digs.

The win improved Dalhousie's record to 6-6 while Memorial fell to 2-9 with the loss.
