(Halifax,NS) In AUS women's soccer action at Huskies Stadium, the Saint Mary's Huskies narrowly got past the UPEI Panthers in a game where either team could have gotten the win with crucial plays on both sides. Saint Mary's got on the board in the 26th minute when Subway player of the game Jessie MacPherson (Dartmouth, NS) scored to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead at halftime.
That would turn out to be all Saint Mary's needed as neither team scored in the second half.
Ashley Blank (Dartmouth, NS) came up big by getting a shutout in goal for the Huskies.
Both teams are back in action on October 16th at 5:00 pm. The Huskies visit the Dalhousie Tigers and the Panthers host the Universite De Moncton Aigle Bleues.
