After York took the opening set 25-21, Waterloo made the necessary adjustments to shift momentum in their favour as the Warriors would sweep the next three sets.

It didn't come without a fight however in the second set with Waterloo up 21-17, the Lions put away the next six points to go up 23-21.  The Warriors battled their way back and took the set 26-24, thanks to a kill by Claire Mackenize.

The Warriors completely owned the third set, winning it 25-12 and stayed control in the fourth and final set, winning it 25-21 to capture the match 3-1.  Mackenzie had another massive night for Waterloo with 20 points on 16 kills, three service aces, and two blocks.  She also collected 15 digs in the win.  Alyson Colpitts (Fredericton) was also on her game, earning 16 points on 14 kills and two blocks.
From the right side, Kayla Wierts (Drayton) was impressive with eight kills while up the middle Casey Clunas (Harriston) and Emily Ibbotson (Cambridge) teamed up for 12 kills.

Defensively, Sarah Remedios (Ajax) was on her game with 15 digs while Colpitts was also all over the court, leading her squad with 16 digs.  The attack didn't come without a stellar effort from rookie setter Claire Gagne (Cambridge) who collected 41 assists in the win.

York was led by Sarah Williams who notched 10 points in a losing effort while libero Carley Flemmer was solid defensively with 22 digs.

Waterloo will look to move to 6-0 at home and 8-5 on the season when they host the Nipissing Lakers (5-5) tomorrow night at 6pm.
