#3 UBC 93 Manitoba 84 (OT)

Thunderbirds-Bisons Stats

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba Bisons fell to the #3 ranked UBC Thunderbirds, 93-84 in overtime on Friday.

The overtime frame was just as chill inducing as the game’s fourth quarter. With 1:10 seconds left and UBC leading 86-82, Manitoba’s Kurtis Sansregret picked the pocket of UBC’s Nathan Yu and scored to narrow the gap to 86-84. However, after some Bisons miscues, namely an ill-advised foul by Draward on Yu, UBC pulled ahead 93-84 for good on the strength of its shooting from the free throw line.

Kurtis Sangregret had 21 points in a losing effort, while Nathan Yu and Tommy Nixon had 20 apiece for the Thunderbirds.

UBC goes to 9-2 on the season, with Manitoba falling to 8-5.
