RMC vs Carleton Friday - 2018/10/12

Kingston, ON - RMC (2-1) won in dramatic fashion on Friday night in front of a loud home crowd at Constantine Arena, beating the Carleton Ravens (0-1-2) in a shootout.

After Carleton took the lead on a goal from Alexandre Boivin, Déric Boudreau evened the score for RMC.

Brogan O'Brien scored before the period ended as Carleton regained the lead.

1st Intermission

Carleton led RMC 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Carleton was first on the board in the second period, as Dalen Hedges converted on the power play.

Rookie Alex MacDonald responded for the Paladins with a breakaway goal, scoring his first U SPORTS goal in style.

Rookies continued to produce for RMC, as Liam Stagg tied the game later in the second on the power play for his first goal with the Paladins.

After Carleton retook the lead on a goal from Matthew Forchuk, Brad Van Schubert replaced Austin Hannaford in the RMC goal. Hannaford finished with 24 saves.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, Carleton led RMC 4-3.

With under two minutes to play and their net empty, RMC tied the game thanks to Bennett Huber.

Shootout

After overtime solved nothing, Cameron Lamport was the first up for RMC in the shootout.

The teams were even after three shooters. After Carleton missed the next shot, RMC had a chance to win with the puck on Boudreau's stick.

After the 5-4 shootout win over Carleton, RMC heads to Oshawa on Saturday to play UOIT (2-1).
