RMC vs UOIT Saturday - 2018/10/13

Oshawa, ON - After playing at home on Friday, RMC (2-2) dropped a 7-2 game to UOIT (3-1) on Saturday in Oshawa.

Rookie Alex MacDonald opened the scoring early in the first period to give the Paladins the lead. It was MacDonald's second goal in two games.

Austin Eastman tied the game for the Ridgebacks midway through the period.

1st Intermission

The teams were tied after 20 minutes.

UOIT came out strong in the second period, as Matthieu Gomercic, Jordan Ross, Danny Elser, and Anthony Latina scored goals for the Ridgebacks.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, UOIT led RMC 5-1.

RMC goalie Austin Hannaford started the third period in goal to relieve Brad Van Schubert.

After Eastman scored his second of the game for the Ridgebacks, rookie Liam Stagg got one back for the Paladins. It was Stagg's second power play goal in two games.

UOIT's Kyle Locke added a final goal with two minutes to play.

RMC is back at Constantine Arena next weekend, when they will welcome Brock (2-0) and Guelph (0-1).
