SASKATOON - Saskatchewan captain Cami Wooster tallied the lone goal in a shootout to lead the Huskies to a 1-0 win over the visiting Regina Cougars Saturday at Rutherford Rink.

With no scoring in regulation or overtime, the shootout was needed to solve the affair.

Wooster tallied as the first and only shooter to score sliding the puck just over the left pad of Cougars netminder Toni Ross. Cassandra Jorgenson and Sara Greschner missed for the Huskies. Jorgenson looked like she scored in an open net after deking Ross left.

Kendra Finch and Brooklyn Moskowy were stopped by Huskie goalie Cassidy Hendricks. Regina's first shooter, Tori Head's, attempt sailed over the net.

With the win, the No. 8 ranked Huskies improve to 9-3-2 and complete the sweep. The No. 9 Cougars drop to 8-5-1.  A night earlier, the Huskies won 4-0.

Both Ross and Hendricks were impressive in the game. Ross made 32 saves for the Cougars in regulation and overtime, while Hendricks made 29 at the other end of the ice.

The Huskies hit the road to face the Mount Royal Cougars next weekend, while Regina returns home to host the Calgary Dinos.
