Windsor seeded No. 1 for nationals, favourite to three-peat

OTTAWA (CIS) – The two-time reigning titlist University of Windsor Lancers are favourite to repeat as CIS women’s basketball champions.

The Lancers, who claimed the first Bronze Baby Trophy in program history two years ago on home court and were crowned again last season in Calgary, earned the top seed for the 2013 national championship at the University of Regina, March 15-17.

Meanwhile, the Ottawa Gee-Gees merited the wildcard from the committee comprised of coaches from the four CIS conferences.
