Soccer player Ashton Lowry from the University of Regina is the ArcelorMittal Dofasco CIS female athlete of the week for the period ending Sept. 18, 2016.
Lowry, a third-year kinesiology and health student from Calgary, posted back-to-back clean sheets over the weekend as the Cougars went undefeated against Winnipeg and Manitoba. The Regina keeper made five saves in blanking the Wesmen 1-0 on the road Saturday, before stopping another seven shots in a scoreless draw against the Bisons Sunday.
