Thomas Scoffin

Scoffin, a second-year business student from Whitehorse, Yukon, guided the Golden Bears to the second CIS-Curling Canada title in program history in Waterloo. The 20-year-old skip led Alberta to a perfect 9-0 tournament, including a 7-1 domination of Winnipeg in the semifinal and a 6-4 win over Laurier in the final. A bronze medallist at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, Scoffin curled 81% through the round-robin and improved to 88% in semifinal action and a spectacular 90% in the title game.

Wilfrid Laurier curler Aaron Squires was the only other male nominee.
